"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." John 16:13
This is another Bible verse that supports the idea of a God who provides His children with a thorough understanding of things, so that we are not "sent home" without a clarification. Jesus is saying here that after He went back into Heaven He would send us the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to enlighten our minds concerning spiritual things.

As we might have some difficulty understanding Biblical issues, God promises to give us the Holy Spirit to help us figure out what the truth is.
